Robin's nephew needs your help

I would like to introduce my nephew, RJ Brown to you. RJ is the son of my sister Janice who lives in Denver, Colorado. RJ is 30 years young, married to a loving and supportive wife, Brandy, who has been RJ's rock and soul mate. Together they have two great children, 11 and 9 years. For 15 years RJ has been living with a disease called Ulcerative Colitis. For the past couple of years the disease has consumed his time and recently almost his life. Beginning Mother's Day 2009, RJ was in and out of the hospital for 9 months undergoing treatment and surgeries. Consequently his employer of 12 years was forced to lay him off resulting in loss of medical insurance. Tragedy has also afflicted Brandy as she was involved in a horrific car accident resulting in her loss of employment. As you can imagine this disease and these hardships almost took his will to live and he was once again hospitalized for severe symptons. RJ is home now but relies on intravenous feeding adminsitered by a nurse. The cost per week is approximately $900! RJ explained to me today that his disability pay has not allowed him to qualify for Medicad. He has also met with the Department of Social Security seeking assistance.

Because RJ has set his mind to be a survivor he is now able to ask for help. On his behalf I would like to ask you for any assistance you might be able to send his way as the bills are piling up and he tries so desperatley to save his home. Thank you!

  2. Hey RJ, I'm a good friend of Robin's over here in Covington, I have a Daughter with crohn's disease. She is 20 years old and just spent 7 days in the hospital recently. I seen what this disease can do, I pray, pray pray someone comes up with a cure. In the mean time, from what I've learned a vitamin rich liquid diet helps in the disease is acting up. Stay strong! 6. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I see that strength is not something this family is unfamiliar with so continue to stay strong for each other. RJ, remember that LOVE is the most important thing. You seem to be surrounded by it. Use that love to live.
